We are proud to announce our newest music class just for parents with infants, toddlers and pre-k’s. Join us as we explore the world of music through a creative use of instruments, sing-alongs, puppets and props, movement, circle games, hands-on instrument fun, puppetry, musical scarves, parachute play and more! From babies who are just learning about new sounds to early elementary school-age children who love to move and sing, everyone gets moving in this fun, innovative and interactive class. Class size is kept small to make sure each participant gets the most from this stimulating group program. Don’t miss out on the fun – join our family circle and let’s make music together!
Kim Loewenstein Band, a.k.a. “Miss Kim,” holds a Bachelor of Music and Arts in Flute Performance from the University of Michigan, a law degree from the University of Baltimore, and an Early Childhood Music diploma from the Levine School of Music. From the age of 7, Kim has been immersed in music training and performing – formal training at the American University Preparatory School, summers at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, and performing in ensembles throughout the DC metropolitan area and beyond. However, when Kim sat down to teach her first toddler music circle, she found she could never really get back up! Kim has taught for years in her own private studio and has been the instrumental music specialist at the Washington Hebrew Congregation Bindeman Center since 2001.
